The mission of SFNLA is to

  1. Raise awareness of the Slow Food Movement;
  2. Promote indigenous foods and traditions and celebrate the cultural diversity of the region;
  3. Serve as a resource for food education and the importance of growing, producing, marketing, preparing, and serving wholesome foods;
  4. To value the experience created by sharing a meal.
This mission will be accomplished though events and activities open to members and non-members.
